[Class 40 (i)] [A]so in Group XXIX] Remote indication of the position of a pointer n mounted on a vane carrying spindle c of a flow-meter is obtained either by the spindle rotating an arm v over a series of electrical contacts so causing an appropriate lamp e<1> to light, or over a resistance connected in series with an ammeter. Or the spindle may vary the inductance of a coil either by varying the position of an iron core with respect to the coil which is fixed in position or, vice versa, so causing a variation in the current through the circuit to which the coil is connected.
