Abstract
587,201. Asymmetrically-conducting resistances. WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO., Ltd., and THOMPSON, L. E. Nov. 30, 1944, No. 23930. [Class 37] Rectifier elements arranged in two or more columns with axes vertical and parallel, are enclosed in a casing which is secured to the base on which the columns are mounted, the casing having radiating fins for dissipating heat. The base 1 which may be of usual valve type supports rods 3 preferably formed integral with it on which are mounted a number of rectifying elements 4 with spacer elements 8 interposed. Contact pins 2 are connected to the bottom element of each column and a conducting bridge 10. The conducting bridge electrically connects the top element of each column through helical springs 15.
