Abstract
817,076. Refrigerating. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Aug. 22, 1957 [Aug. 22, 1956], No. 25638/56. Class 29 A thermo-electric refrigerating unit comprises a row of series connected alternate p- and n-type semi-conductor elements 1 each having secured to opposite faces an aluminium block 2 suitably connected or electrically-insulated as at 3 to form the electric circuit and heat dissipating or absorbing fin units 5 on opposite faces of the assembly and electrically insulated from blocks 2 by insulation 4. The insulation 3 may be a loaded resin or effected by anodizing blocks 2. Further rows of elements and blocks are connected in parallel to form a rectangular assembly. Specification 798,882 is referred to.
