Abstract

The resistance is enclosed between mica sheets g, j. Steam packing n may be inserted between the edges of the plates a, k. In a modification, the resistance is situated in undercut grooves in a porcelain block and covered with a sheet of mica. The plate a is recessed to receive the bottom of the block and an asbestos pad is placed between the two. In another modification, the resistance is enclosed in silica tubes.
