823,350. Semi-conductor rectifiers. COMPAGNIE DES FREINS ET SIGNAUX WESTINGHOUSE. July 24,1957 [July 27, 1956], No. 23409/57. Class 37. In a rectifier assembly, a stack 1 of rectifying elements located upon an insulating disc 3 and within insulating rings 5 inside an aluminium or plastic tube 2, are pressed together by a spring 8 held in place by an insulating plug 9 which engages a number of crimps 10 in the tube, and the space in the tube above the plug is finally filled with a hot or cold polymerizing resin 11. As shown, the elements are arranged in four groups of three to form a bridge, five connectors 4 being led out through openings in the insulating rings 5. Spacers, as at 7, may be placed between the groups of elements.
