Abstract

585,081. Panelling. HOWDEN & CO., Ltd., J., and DICKIE, W. Feb. 9, 1945, No. 3266. [Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iv)] Panelling is formed by interengaging strips a of folded sheet material, one longitudinal edge b of one strip being turned inwardly to form a U-shaped channel and the adjacent edge c of a contiguous unit being bent inwards at right angles at its extreme edge portion being then bent outwards and folded back on itself to form a passage for the entry of the channel portion b by an endwise sliding movement, the panel strips being held at their upper ends by the horizontal strips L and at their' lower ends by the skirting strips M, the strips L and M being supported on mounting blocks. The strips L are of open box-section whose lower joggled edge holds the panel strips in place and the skirting strips M are formed with an inwardlyturned upper edge to hold the lower ends of the strips. The mounting blocks, one of which E is shown in Fig. 6 for the formation of a corner, are formed with spigots (E', E') which engage the panel holding the strips.
