Abstract

549,745. Window blinds. LISLE, U. L. O. Sept. 17, 1941, Nos. 11883/41 and 12079/42. Addition to 534,646. [Class 20 (iii)] In a folding light-tight blind 1 of the kind described in the parent Specification, in which a plurality of laths 2 extend across the blind at the upper part of which a ventilating aperture is provided screened by a flexible panel 7, the latter may be arranged in front of the blind and may have one or more apertures 8 to provide for the passage of air. The upper edge of the panel is attached to a ledge 9 projecting from the blind supporting means. The side edges of the blind are guided and restrained in channels 14, 15 at each side of the window, these channels diminishing in depth towards the bottom of the window to urge the end lath against the window frame. In Fig. 7, the blind is provided with an extension 17 having at its end a weighted lath 18 which moves inwardly along inclined surfaces on blocks 19, lath 16 also being weighted.
