542,117. Ventilators. MORRIS, C. V., ELLIS, H. S., BAKER, E. A. G., and NEWHAVEN ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Nov. 26, 1940, No. 16923. [Class 137] A tight-proof ventilator comprises a number of horizontal superposed louvres 3 arranged in a light-proof frame 2 which is secured to the exterior of a window 1 by screws or hooks. Two banks of louvres 3 may be arranged side by side as in Fig. 4, the top and bottom being formed by extensions which are doubled back as at 9 from the adjacent louvre members. Alternatively, two single ventilators as shown in Fig. 2 may be inserted into guides or grooves in side members 6.
