Abstract

551,023. Ventilators. HURDEN, E., and SNELLING, J. C. Sept. 19, 1941, No. 12145. [Class 137] A light-proof louvre ventilator comprises a number of superimposed louvres A each having a double or multiple wave of easy curvature so that the passages between them have a very low resistance to air flow. The louvres, preferably moulded from asbestos cement, are fitted into front and rear frame members B, C, recesses E alternating with projections D which space the louvres apart. The frame members are bent inwards at their side edges to enclose side frame members, and have inclined portions M to prevent the entry of rain. The roof and floor members J, K are attached by screws to the frame members B, C.
