[Class 137] A ventilator for black-out purposes comprises Z- shaped louvres a secured in a frame b, and so arranged that a flange f of one louvre lies beneath an overlapping flange e of an adjacent louvre the flanges and the parts d forming acute angles so that light is prevented from passing through the assembly, but air is admitted through the spaces between the louvres. In Fig. 3, the louvres are pivoted, and connected by levers n to an operating rod p by which they can be rotated to the position shown to enable light to pass.
