503,854. Drying-apparatus. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. Oct. 14, 1937, No. 28017. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1936. [Class 34 (ii)] In passing drying air through a drying chamber having two openings or groups of openings 1, 2 serving alternately as air inlet and outlet openings, two conduits provided with side openings 6a, 7a controlled by pivoted shutters 6, 7 and serving alternately as air inlets and outlets communicate with a common outlet pipe 3 having a shutter 4 centrally pivoted at 5, so that on reversing direction of air flow by reversing the rotation of a fan in the chamber, air is sucked in through one opening, e.g. 7a, thereby opening shutter 7, closing shutter 6 and moving shutter 4 to allow passage of used air to outlet 3, the shutters being moved by the air. The shutter 4 always moves to close the side by which air enters.
