Ribs 6 and fins 3 on the sections of a radiator form air passages 5 which increase in crosssectional area towards the air inlet and outlet openings 7 and 8. Hot water or steam passage ways 2 are interconnected by nipples 15. The ribs 6 are interrupted at intervals to form air chambers 9. Apertures 20 may be provided in the sections. Intermediate sections, Fig. 6, may be omitted and two end sections (one is shown in Fig. 4) used alone if a small radiator is required.
