Abstract

553,423. Ventilators. WHITSON, R. A. March 20, 1942, No. 3712. [Class 137] The part of the ventilator casing 1 facing the outside is fitted with V-shaped louvres 2 against which a pad of metal wool 3 is held by a screen 4 of expanded metal. Any light passing the metal wool is stopped by the louvres which have their sides differently inclined to the plane of their apices, and the screen is hingedly or removably fixed to the casing.
