Abstract

519,632. Projection screens. NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE, Ltd., HEPWORTH, C. M. and KIMBERLEY, P. Sept. 24, 1938, No. 27897. [Class 97 (i)] In screens supported at short intervals around their entire periphery by spring-controlled hooks or the like engaging holes formed in the sheet near its edges, the, holes are of elongated form in a direction parallel to the adjacent edge, and the hooks are shaped to correspond, the engagement between the holes and hooks being of substantial length and straight or curved. As shown, a screen 1 of cellulose acetate is carried by a frame 2 having sloping sides and an opening somewhat smaller than the screen. Slots 6, with round ends, in the screen margins are engaged by hooks 5 attached to helical springs 7 secured to the frame by screws 8. The hooks. and slots may have a straight line engagement, as shown, or a curved engagement. Specifications 153,724, 205,255, [both in Class 97 (i)] and 386,737 are referred to.
