558,937. Window blinds. WOODWARD, J. H. Nov. 12, 1942, No. 16023. [Class 20 (iii)] Means for obscuring a window lying in an horizontal plane, or approximately so, are provided by one or a pair of blinds 1, 2 each fastened along one horizontal edge to the window frame 3, 4, or to slats hinged to the window frame, their vertical edges being secured to slats 7, 8 pivoted to the window frame so that when drawn up by cords 16, 17 they overlap (in the case of a pair) and cover the window. In place of the slats 7, 8, a slat may be secured to the free horizontal edge of each blind, and the operating cords attached to this slat.
