614,877. Venetian blinds. JORGENSEN, W. F. E. H., and ORTH, P. E. Aug. 9, 1946, No. 23694. Convention date, April 18, 1942. [Class 20(iii)] A Venetian blind has cords 4 and 5 secured to the bottom slat and hingedly fastened to the rear and front edges of the other slats by means of mountings 6 and 7 which consist of a short metal, wood or plastic tube pinched round the cord and having edges 8 in which the staples 9 engage, the upper end of the rear cord 4 being fastened to the window frame 10, the cord 5 providing means to adjust the angle of the slats. In a modification, both cords are arranged to be raised or lowered.
