[Class 20 (iii)] [Also in Groups XIV and XXIV] A regulator for operating vehicle windows of the kind comprising a fluid actuated piston 40 connected to crossed lever mechanism 31, 32 to effect a to-andfro movement of the window &c. is characterized by the provisions of a spring 51 which is tensioned upon regulator movement in one direction, movement in the opposite direction thereby being assisted when the pressure is released. The cylinder is pivoted on a pivoted lever 45 having an extension 48 acting as stop and the spring connects this lever to the sliding arm 32 of the crossed levers whereby the spring absorbs expansion of pressure fluid occurring after the window 25 has been moved to its ultimate position.
