Abstract
573,586. Removing dough shapes from die rolls. PATERSON, J. C., and BAKER PERKINS, Ltd. Dec. 2, 1943, No. 20167. [Class 87 (ii)] The dough shapes are removed from the die roll 5 by means of an endless web 2 which is kept at a substantially constant tension by a jockey roll 8 which bears on the underside of the web between the die roll and the (fixed or adjustable) delivery knife edge 6. The jockey roll is removably carried in slots 15 on two levers 9 fulcrummed at 11 and weighted at 10, the roll thus floating against the underside of the web. The weights may be adjustable in number or in position on the levers. The web passes around a pressure and extracting roll 3 and guide rollers 12 and 7. A scraper 13 delivers waste to a hopper 14.
