Abstract

684,627. Making parallel-sided dough rolls. GARNER, J. H. March 27, 1951 [March 31, 1960], No. 8060/50. Class 87 (ii). Dough is rolled into a ribbon D by rollers C whose axes extend transversely of the longitudinal axis of a conveyer belt E, and the ribbon falls onto the belt. The ribbon is then rolled up on the belt by passage under a flexible strip G of material of a suitable weight or suitably weighted: as shown, the strip is weighted by a weight L on a bent plate K carried by arms N pivoted at M. The strip is suspended at H. The rolled ribbon then passes between the conveyor and a second piece P of flexible material which is loaded by a weighted lever Q, and then beneath the underside of the conveyer and a pressure plate R.
