Abstract
796,691. Dough-dividing machines. CATLING, R. W. C. May 3, 1956 [May 16, 1955], No. 14034/55. Class 87(2) Dough is fed along a conveyer band 9 beneath a roller 10 and the rolled strip divided by a rotating knife 5. The thickness of the strip is adjusted by pivoting the band 9 about a shaft 6 and holding it in the adjusted position by inserting a pin through holes 23. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) the conveyer may be adjusted by a screw. The drive for the knife, the roller 10 and the conveyer band are geared together. The nip between the roller 10 and the band is provided with side plates 20. Dough is removed from the roller 10 by a scraper 21. The dough pieces are removed from the band by a guide 22 or in the construction shown in Fig. 3, by a knife associated with a roller.
