[Class 20 (ii)] A scaffold clamp comprises two elements 3, 3a, each of which has two saddle pieces, e'.g. 3a<1>, 3a"; Fig. 4, arranged crosswise and extensions 4a<1>, 4a<11> beyond the saddle pieces adapted to receive clamping means, 7<1>, 7<11>, each of which is parallel to one scaffold member and transverse to the other, whereby the elements are drawn together to clamp the scaffold members between them. Each element can rotate about one clamping bolt laterally of one scaffold member and in the direction of the axis of the other scaffold member giving a two-point grip on this member. The clamping bolts may be hinged in the extensions on one element and swing into forked jaws on the other element, the clamping nuts having washers with spherical seats to engage spherical seats on the jaws.
