568,974. Cutters and cutter-bars. McGIBBON, W. Dec. 18, 1943, No. 21285. [Class 83 (iii)] A portable tool, for operations such as end facing the metal round a stud, comprises a hollow body 10, with a cutter 12 with edge centrally radial to the end 15 of a slot 16 that accommodates the stud S. Adjustment for stud diameter is effected by a V-block 17 notched at 21, 22 to engage conical wedges 19, 20 prevented from rotating by a key 25 and movable by a screw 23 having a knob 28. A spring 29 maintains engagement between the block 17 and the wedges. A polygonal portion 14 provides for rotation of the tool and an adjustable stop 31 controls the depth of cut.
