[Class 102 (i)] In a reciprocating pump with one or more plungers, one end o of each plunger a is engaged by one end of an adjacently pivoted arm n to which is pivoted a slipper p having a concave surface to engage a rotary eccentric j. The suction strokes of the plunger a may be effected by the direct action of a compression spring, or, as shown, the head o may be engaged by the bifurcated end of a double-arm lever q pivoted on the shaft m of the arm n, the other end of the lever q being connected to a helical spring s. The pump support f is closed by a cover forming a suction reservoir with an inlet h.
