Abstract
301,826. Abramson, A. Dec. 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Cam - actuated pumps; stroke, vary. ing. - A pump for fuel &c. comprises a cylinder 9 in which a plunger 4 is reciprocated by a cam 13 and slider 10 provided with a cam surface 11 engaging a ball 6, which is in contact with the plunger. The ball works through a hole in a cylinder 8 attached to the barrel 9 and adapted to be adjusted axially by screw and nut 14 to vary the position of the ball in the cam slot 11 and so vary the stroke of the plunger and the working capacity of the barrel 9. The delivery valve 2 is carried by a screw cap 1 which limits the opening movement of the inlet valve 3.
