565,757. Linkwork. TRIGGS, W. W. (Philadelphia Gear Works, Inc.). March 31,1943, No. 5172. [Class 80 (iii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A valve is operated from a member 33, Fig. 2, having a smaller movement than a crankoperated cross-head 28, which carries bolts 35 surrounded by springs 37 and slidable in the member 33. The bolt heads are formed as pinions 35a meshing with a central pinion 36 so that the bolts may be simultaneously turned to vary the spacing between the members 28, 33. The shaft 22 is normally driven through gearing from a motor 17, provided with a solenoid-controlled brake device 47 with limit switches operated by cams, and with other limits for operating signal lights. The motor may be disconnected and a hand wheel drive used when the valve is to be put into position for adjustment.
