[Class 106 (ii)] A linear-dimension gauge, of the type in which the loss of pressure resulting from the escape of compressed air through a nozzle is an indication of the dimension, is characterised in that the loss of pressure is measured by a U-tube manometer 7 having one limb 6 open to the atmosphere and a float 5 in this open limb carrying a marker 3 working in front of a chart 1, means being provided for bringing the marker into contact with the chart when the float has reached its position of rest during a gauging operation, and for feeding the chart on between markings.
