Abstract

1,021,211. Concentricity gauges. A. EISELE. June 6, 1963, No. 22519/63. Heading G1M. A bore concentricity gauge comprises a measuring pin 106 reciprocable in a transverse bore in a member 16 and having a bevelled surface 128 which engages an inclined transversely curved lip 132 on a rod 134 which moves in a longitudinal bore 136 and thus transmits movement of pin 106 to dial indicator 14. The axes of the pin 106 and rod 134 are not quite perpendicular to facilitate motion. In use the member 16 is inserted in the bore to be measured and an enlarged portion 110 engages a counterbore. The gauge is then rotated and movement of pin 106 is caused if the bore and counterbore are not concentric. The member 16 is interchangeable for different bore sizes.
