910,625. Linear dimension gauges. MEYER, H. Sept. 6, 1960 [Nov. 30, 1959], No. 30694/60. Class 106 (2). A measuring device comprises a core 8 connected by a micrometer screw 12 to a body 1 and a slide 3 mounted for movement relative to the core 8 under limitation by a stop 9. An indicator 19 with a feeler 19a shows the relative position of the slide 3, and core 8. To measure internal dimensions the slide 3 is elastically connected to core 8 by spring 24 as shown in Fig. 3, bolts 29 engage a bore 32 and measuring drum 11 is rotated until indicator 19 reads zero. The measurement is then read on scales 11a 1c Alternative plungers may be provided to adapt the device for measuring grooves or screw threads.
