Abstract
563,290. Lamp-holders. TURNOCK, Ltd., G., and JACKSON, E. D. Dec. 7, 1942, No. 17368. [Class 38 (i)] The terminal block e and attached metal lamp-holder socket a are housed within a.casing formed by the skirt m having a threaded band k screwing into either a cap n or a batten plate o. The block e is formed with a flange i that is pressed against the end of the band k by the cap or plate and is prevented from rotating by a key j, Fig. 1, engaging a notch in the band k of the skirt, or by segments v, Fig. 6, engaging corresponding recesses in the flange w<1> of the batten plate o. The socket a is secured by inturned lugs c secured by rivets d. The lampholder contacts may be telescopic or may be integral with the binding-posts g which slide on opposite sides of a guard-piece f.
