Abstract

620,531. Lamp-holders. AIRSPEED, Ltd., and BROOKESMITH, F. Jan. 20, 1947, No. 1810. [Class 38 (i)] The screwed socket b of a lamp-holder is movable axially to test the lamp to a degree limited by a pin-and-slot connection d, e, it being normally urged outwardly by a spring h, to a position wherein a flange l engages a contact strip n to complete the normal lamp circuit, the other connection being through a spring- pressed centre contact g. If the socket b is depressed, a flange p thereon engages a strip o and completes the lamp-testing circuit, the main circuit being broken at contacts l, n. The strips o, n, are carried in grooves in an insulating member c, which is externally threaded to receive a cover w, and are connected to metal inserts s, t, in the member c.
