562,274. Thermionic valves. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Dec. 1, 1942, No. 17052. Convention date, Feb. 7, 1942. [Class 39 (i)] An anode 30 of a vacuum tube is surrounded by a wall 14 having a cooling jacket 15, and webs 31 connect anode 30 to wall 15 so that heat can flow from the anode to the wall but at a restricted rate. The anode, webs and wall may be made in one piece or the anode may be separate, and the webs and wall in one piece, or the wall may be separate and the other components in one piece. The wall 14 is clamped into position within the jacket by means similar to those described in U.S.A. Specification 2,186,563.
