558,975. Cooling systems for electron discharge devices. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Aug. 25, 1942, No. 11932. Convention date, Aug. 28, 1941. [Class 64 (iii)] A cooling jacket 13 around an external anode of an electron discharge device 10, a tubular radiator 22 in an air duct 25, and a pump 18 circulating a cooling liquid through the jacket and radiator are supported by a platform 17 above the air duct or by a casing forming a section of the duct. A metallic bellowstype expansion chamber may be placed in the cooling liquid circuit and the radiator may consist of a number of straight tubes connected together by U-bends.
