The heater which is inside the sleeve and the sleeve itself, are curried by an insulating support 13 Alternatively, one or more heaters may be located out side the sleeve, to which they are clamped by a metal band Fig. 2 (not shown). In this case, the sleeve is spaced from the anode arm by a member in which there are holes or passages to promote air circulation. The sleeve may carry holes 16 for the same purpose. The seal may be of the type described in Specification 572,300.
