Abstract
731,098. Discharge apparatus. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Jan. 27, 1953 [Feb. 15, 1952], No. 2366/53. Class 39 (1). An insulator 7 having apertures 9 bears against the underside of a discharge tube 3, the flexible leads 5 passing loosely through said apertures. The apertures and the intervening space are filled with a pliable temperatureresistant insulator 10 such as silicone grease. This prevents the leads from being bent at their most brittle point, where they emerge from the glass seal; and the apertures 9 have chamfered ends, so that the leads bend in a smooth arc. The leads may be of different lengths to facilitate threading through the apertures. Several tubes may be mounted on a common insulator, a suitable substance for which is fluorethylene.
