Abstract

646,704. Magnetrons. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. March 25, 1947, No. 8102. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1942. [Class 39 (i)] In a magnetron of the type having the interior of the cylindrical casing 22 divided into pockets 23, 24 ... 30 by flat-walled partitions 13, 14 ... 20, the said partitions fit into grooves 56, Fig. 3, on the inner surface of the casing, and are soldered therein. The casing may be of selenium copper alloy, and the coaxial terminal 34 has its inner end looped back and attached to the casing as at 35. The terminal 34 is centred by a glass bead 41 in a metal sleeve 42 soldered to a casing 36 which is threaded as at 38 for a co-axial line attachment. Specification 588,185 is referred to.
