Abstract
560,594. Roller mills. BUHLER BROS. March 1, 1943, No. 3335. Convention date, Feb. 28, 1942. [Class 59] The hand wheels 14 for adjusting the grinding pressure of a roller mill comprising pairs of fixed rollers 1 and movable rollers 2- are arranged in the space between the walls 17 of the machine frame. The rollers 2 may be mounted in arms 3 which are pivoted about fixed fulcrums 4 and are connected at their ends to the arms 9 of bell-crank levers, the other arms 13 of the levers being engaged by sleeves 16 operable by screwed spindles 15 carrying the hand wheels 14. The pivots 8 of the bell-crank levers are carried by stirrups 7 passing over eccentric pins 6 on a shaft 5. By rotating the shaft 5 a coarse adjustment of the grinding pressure may be effected.
