Abstract
432,708. Roller - and - breast mills. LEHMANN, F. B., (trading as LEHMANN, J. M., [Firm of]), 108, Freiberger Strasse, Dresden, Germany. May 1, 1935, No. 12968. Convention date, May 17, 1934. [Class 59] In a roller-and-breast mill the radius of curvature of the grinding surface of the breastbar 1 is greater than the radius of the co-operating roller 11 and the bar is rocked transversely to the axis of the roll by gear 2. The gear 2 may be an eccentric driven by the slow roll 4 and connected by arms 5 to the bar 1 which is supported at its ends in guides on a bridge-member 6. The bridge-member houses springs 9, adjustable by screws 13, each spring acting by means of a plunger 8, on a roller 10 mounted on the bar.
