[Classes 36 and 38 (i)] A metal conduit carrying bus-bars by transverse insulating plates, which are supported by brackets secured to the conduit and are apertured to receive the bus-bars, has removable bottom coverplates detachably secured to the brackets. The conduit 5 has brackets 6, 7 grooved to receive the plates 14 provided with apertures for the busbars 1 ..4. Each bracket is also grooved to receive a bolt 12 on the tapping-box 13 which carries the contacts 21, the box being earthed by spring fingers 25 secured to the brackets and engaging the bolts 12. Clamping plates 16 secured to the brackets retain a cover-plate 17 and insulating screen 19 apertured for the passage of the contacts 21.
