Switchboards.-Distribution apparatus comprises an insulating support B, C in unit or panel form upon the front only of which are mounted a number of circuit contact-carrying members D, E, F so constructed as to carry the knife switch or fuse-carrier contact jaws d<2> and provision d<3> for a link K and also the bus-bar clamping terminals H and to permit of the divided concentric cable A or a multicore cable to be inserted (or removed) from the front of the support and electrically connected to them at the front between the support and the contact jaws. By his arrangement the cable may be brought into place or removed without its being necessary at any time to bend it or remove the contact-carrying members, the bus-bars, switches, fuse-carriers or links.
