Abstract
571,640. Fuse - boards. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., W. T., and HUBBARD, H. Jan. 22, 1944, No. 1235. [Class 38 (i)] In an electric distribution board, the cable contacts 10 and bus-bar contacts 11, one above the other for bridging by fuses 9, are arranged in horizontal and vertical rows. The bus-bar contacts in each row are connected by a horizontal bus-bar 14 having a member 15 bolted to it with a socket 34 for receiving one of the incoming cables 32. The outgoing cables 33 are connected to sockets 12 on the cable contacts 10. These sockets are mounted on forwardlyprojecting portions 20 of insulating blocks 18, in turn mounted on the box 30, the bus-bar contacts being brought to the same forward level by providing them with rearwardlyextending stems 21 having flanges 22 which are bolted to the bus-bars, the latter also being fixed to the blocks 18. The sockets 34 are formed at the ends of stems of different lengths and may be turned so as to lie on either side of the clamping bolts 16 while the sockets 12 extend laterally of the contacts 10 and may lie on either side of the blocks 18, in order to facilitate connection.
