Abstract

824,260. Distribution boxes. FARISH, T. G., and GAUNTLETT, L. S. Dec. 18, 1956 [Nov. 7, 1955; Nov. 16, 1955], Nos. 31813/55 and 32747/55. Class 38 (1). In a tapping connector for a distribution system, fuse carriers 17 are mounted on an insulating plate 14a mounted on a hinged cover 15, blades 9, 13 on the carrier engaging contact members 8 secured to the bus-bars and terminal members 10, 12 secured in an insulating block 6 respectively. Each terminal member consists of a metal block 10 for receiving a tapping-off conductor and a spring blade 12 co-operating with one face of the block 10 to form a socket for the blade 13. Each contact 8 is V-shaped and provided with a clip 22 to assist in clamping round a bus-bar.
