Abstract

814,492. Distribution boxes. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Dec. 16, 1957 [Dec. 21, 1956], No. 38949/56. Class 38 (1). Tapping connections to bus-bars 19 housed in trunking 18 are made by connectors 21 each comprising a substantially U-shaped strip between the limbs of which a bus-bar is clamped, the closed ends of the connectors being shaped and apertured as shown to provide faces 24a, 24b, 24c in different planes to one of which a lug 25 on a tapping cable 17 may be clamped according to the direction of entry thereof into a junction-box 10 attached to the trunking and into which the connectors project through an aperture 12 in the trunking.
