940,228. Switchboards; two-part couplings. WALSALL CONDUITS Ltd. Dec. 8, 1961 [Dec. 14, 1960], No. 42939/60. Headings H2B and H2E. An automatic circuit breaker has an insulating housing with two spaced parallel larger sides, the distance between which is less than the depth of the housing from front to back, an operating member projecting from the front of the housing and plug members projecting from opposite ends of the near face. The breaker 10 can thus be plugged into sockets 21, 22 on a panel 23. Sockets 21 contain a common conductor 29 engageable by blades 17, 18 at one end of the breaker, and sockets 22 each contain a terminal member having a part 31 (which is thinner than 29) engageable by blades 19, 20 at the other end of the breaker. Blades 17, 18 and 19, 20 are respectively formed by cutting and bending two blades.
