Abstract

1,139,594. Switchgear structures. BRUSH ELECTRICAL ENG. CO. Ltd. 16 Nov., 1966 [6 Nov., 1965], No. 47160/63. Heading HIN. A metal clad switchgear has a fixed part 21 carrying duplicate bus-bar sets 4, 5, feeder cables 13 and earthing bus-bars each connected to one of a plurality of fixed isolating contacts 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, and a movable circuit breaker 1 mounted upon a wheeled trolley 2 provided with means to raise the circuit breaker to bring its terminals 19, 20 into engagement with selected ones of the fixed isolating contacts, the latter being staggered (Fig. 2, not shown), i.e. alternate ones of a phase are located in one row while the others are located in a second row parallel to the first and displaced from it by a distance equal to half the interphase distance.
