Abstract
557,605. Refrigerators. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 14, 1942, No. 11384. Convention date, Aug. 23, 1941. [Class 29] A heat insulated receptzcle 14 for butter &cmounted in the storage space of a domestic cabinet is provided with means as set forth in Specification 556,996 for heating the interior by the heat of a motor 23 driving a fan 28 circulating the air of the storage space over deodorizing material 19, and with a hit and miss damper 30, 33 for admitting the air of the storage space to the jacket space of the receptacle to cool it when necessary. The damper is adjusted by a bimetallic thermal element 35. An auxiliary heater 44, Fig. 5, may be used to supplement the motor heat, under control of a thermostat 37. The receptacle is constructed and mounted as set forth in Specification 549,229.
