[Class 29[ A heat insulated receptacle for butter &c. mounted in the upper part of the storage space of a domestic cabinet and preferably constructed with spaced walls 15, 16 and supported by studs 20 as described in Specification 549,229, is adapted to receive heat incidentally arising from the operation of an electrical device in the main storage space, to maintain the butter in a condition for spreading. As shown, a motor 39 driving a fan 37 for circulating the air of the storage space over activated carbon 36 or other deodorant is mounted on the inner wall of the receptacle, so that the heat of the motor is conducted to the receptacle. The motor may be controlled by an adjustable thermostatic switch, the fan being then operated intermittently.
