676,951. Refrigerators. GIBSON REFRIGERATOR CO. Feb. 27, 1951 [Dec. 1, 1950], No. 4741/51. Class 29 In a refrigerator door comprising outer and inner panels 33, 11 is fixed a receptacle 12 for butter and the like, the back of the receptacle being insulated by a block 18 but the sides receiving heat from the panel 33 through spaces 16, 17 in the door insulation. The receptacle 12 has a closure 20 formed with a support 23 for the butter &c. dish 24 and has a recessed part 22 serving as a handle and as a pocket for cold air projecting into the receptacle. Side walls 27 of the support 23 engage under ribs 28 and the dish 24 is located by upturned parts 26 and projections 25. The floor of the receptacle is extended to form a deflector 19 for an uprising current of cold air and has a projection 30 which can engage in either of two recesses 31, 32 in the support 23 so that the closure can contact the panel 11 or can be set spaced therefrom for greater cooling of the receptacle. In a modification Fig. 6 (not shown), the air deflector 19 is mounted on the bottom of the closure 20.
