[Class 20 (i)] A greenhouse comprises the combination of a supporting framework structure formed mainly or wholly of concrete and detachable and removable roof lights. Each bay is formed of spaced arched members 6L, 6R, interconnected by longitudinals, each arched member being formed in two parts meeting at the ridge where they are secured together by fish plates 8. The arched members for the intermediate bays are formed so that the inner legs are upright and abut along their lengths to be secured by bolts 19 but for the outer bays the legs are disposed so as to incline outwardly downwards. The half arches are notched at their upper ends to receive an inverted T-section concrete ridge bar 10 surmounted by a ridge cap 16, and the outer angles are notched to receive either an outer interfitting longitudinal 13 or a concrete gutter 14 between two bays. The upper edges of the gutters and the upper faces of the flanges of the ridge bar are sloped off to receive the edges of the roof panels 15. For the end side closures wooden glazing bars 17 are tenoned into the longitudinals 13 and into the concrete footing to which the lower ends of the half-arches are attached and the glass is puttied into place on rebates in the glazing bars and uprights of the half arch members. For wider spans the half arch members may be provided with further notches intermediate the end ones to receive other longitudinals and the roof panels may overlap at these intermediate longitudinals. The ends of the bays are filled in with glazing bars and glass sheets and a door frame 18 may be provided. The roof lights may be secured to the framework members by wire ties passing through them and around the frames.
