[Class 20 (i)] A glasshouse comprises half-arch preformed concrete frame members joined together at the ridge by fishplates and connected by longitudinals and sash-bars mortised into the longitudinals so that the whole effective height of the structure may be glazed. The outer half-frame members 6R are formed of angle-shape of concrete, and notched at 9 and 11 to receive a T-shaped ridge-bar 10 and a longitudinal 13. The inner half-frame members 6L are so shaped that the inner legs 6A are upright instead of outwardly inclined when joined to the outer half-frames by fishplates 10B, so that further laterally disposed bays may be added by using only inner half-arch members, the uprights being joined, together b bolts 19. The inner members are also notched at the ridge to receive the ridge-bar and at the knee portion to receive a gutter 12. Inermediate longitudinals 21 are disposed in notches in the frame members and the longitudinals 21 and 13 are recessed to receive the roof sash-bars 15 which support the glazing. The side sash-bars 17 are mortised into the upper and lower longitudinals 13, 7, respectively, and the end sash-bars 17 are mortised into the frame members 6 and the base 7. The glazing is secured to the sashbars by putty. A sliding ventilator 22 may be fitted between two of the roof sash-bars 15. Specification 557,231 is referred to.
