549,209. Fuel-injection pumps. C.A.V. Ltd. and EVANS, F. M. May 7, 1941, No. 5928. [Class 102 (i)] In a multi-cylinder fuelinjection pump for an internal combustion engine in which each plunger is reciprocable relatively to a rotary sleeve and a yieldable driving connection is arranged between each plunger and its sleeve, each yieldable driving connection comprises a collar h slidable on the plunger a and having a slidable driving connection with the associated sleeve d, another collar or shoulder j secured or formed on the plunger, a single radial projection k provided on one of the two parts h, j for engagement with a complementary recess m in the other part, and a spring n for holding the two parts in engagement. The projection k and recess m are preferably of 90 degrees V-section.
